About The Position:

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality video content for games. Working closely with the marketing and development teams, you will create engaging trailers, gameplay videos, and promotional materials to showcase the game to a wider audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and produce trailers, gameplay videos, and promotional materials for games.
  • Utilize video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro to create polished and visually appealing videos.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to understand project requirements and goals.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine video content and ensure it aligns with the game's branding and messaging.
  • Source and incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance video content.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing and incorporate them into your work.
  • Manage and organize video assets and project files for ease of reference and collaboration.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing campaigns and strategies to promote the game.
  • Ensure that video content meets technical specifications and is optimized for various platforms and distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including artists, designers, and developers, to ensure video content aligns with the overall vision of the game.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in film production, digital media, or related field.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to feedback.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation is a plus.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of video editing work and technical proficiency.
  • Understanding of game design principles and the ability to create video content that highlights gameplay features and mechanics.
  • Knowledge of video compression formats and encoding settings for online distribution.
  • Passion for video games and a desire to contribute to the gaming industry.
