We're looking for a Design Lead to join our Support Group, the development organization that builds our in-house customer service tooling. We work on topics like support chat, operational tooling for support agents, and self-service and automation. At Wolt, Wolt Support Group is a key part of core customer experience that impacts daily lives in all the 26 countries Wolt is active in. Your Impact

The core skills of our design leaders are to coach, bridge, and direct the function of design. This means you are both a highly experienced manager who loves being connected to the work and zooms in as necessary to support teams to success.

Set up the team for success:

Lead the Design team, a part of the Support Group, ensuring that the team is set up for success in a scaling environment.

Lead the charge:

Oversee a critical problem space within the Support mission, empowering your team to thrive in a dynamic, creative environment.

Set the bar high:

Establish and uphold exceptional design standards, ensuring every product we build delivers a delightful user experience.

Grow and nurture:

Build a high-performing team by attracting and onboarding top talent, implementing efficient design management practices, and leveraging strategic frameworks.

Bridge the gap:

Foster seamless collaboration and project delivery within agile teams, guiding stakeholders through effective design rituals and reviews.

Empower your team:

Mentor and coach designers, supporting their career aspirations and pushing them to reach their full potential.

Translate user needs and business goals into innovative solutions that drive strategic success.

Who you are

  • You have experience leading design teams or as Staff/Principal designer at consumer-focused product organizations that feature strong value propositions and high tech service integrations.
  • You possess exceptional design skills and have shipped numerous consumer products that prioritize user delight. This allows you to have a thorough understanding of the creative process and hands-on design work, and while you may not spend that much time designing yourself, you still care about the design work deeply.
  • You have experience leading, mentoring, and managing designers to help grow their skills in research, design, ideation, innovation, and systematic thinking.
  • You effortlessly connect with cross-functional stakeholders, motivating them to execute the vision even in your absence.
  • You have a user and data-focused design mentality. You leverage user feedback and data insights to refine your team's intuition, understanding the value of both qualitative and quantitative methods.
